Jenny Holzer is a conceptual artist. She was born on July 29,1950 in Ohio, U.S. She experienced Duke university, Chicago university and Ohio university. Then, she entered Rhode Island and from that, she experienced abstract art. Then one day, she decided to make distinguishable artworks that everyone could understand, and from then, she creates many pieces of artworks using texts. Her artworks are always related to techniques such as LED and so on. As such, her unusual style of expression has produced many works that everyone can understand and that people can concentrate on.

This is a JENNY Holzer’s artwork (PROTECT ME FROM WHAT I WANT). This artwork was the first one of her “Survival Series”, which was continued from 1983 to 1985. The development of technology was one of the major points of her artwork. This artwork was shined at intervals of forty seconds. She used to convey her meaning by combining knowledge and techniques. At those time, the reality of our life and the fear existed in our daily life were the main ideas. her aim was to have people understood the life of modern society within technical sides.
